GETTING AROUND
FROM/TO THE AIRPORT
CABS: The cab fare to anywhere in New
Orleans is $28, $12 each for three people or more.
There is always a line of taxis at the airport
waiting to whisk you into the city.
SHUTTLE: The airport provides a shuttle
service for $13 per person one-way to most hotels.
You should buy your ticket at the shuttle curb in
the baggage claim area. The shuttle usually carries
ten people, so you might have to wait for the van to
fill and drive around a bit before getting to your

If you are on a budget, there is also
a bus that runs from the airport to the corner of
Tulane and Carrollton Avenues (map and schedules @
http://www.jeffersontransit.org/schedules/E2Airport-Map.htm
). From there you can get the 39 Tulane bus, that
will bring you to Elk Place (about four blocks from
the heart of the CBD and the French Quarter). Check

maps and schedules. The airport bus leaves from the
departure level, upstairs from the baggage
claim. The fare is $1.25 for each ride, $2.50 total
from the airport to Elk Place), no change is
provided.
IN
NEW ORLEANS, from venue to venue
Cabs in NOLA are inexpensive and easy. That
is probably the easiest way to get around for the
CCLIC, especially late at night. Just catch one on
the street or call UNITED CABS at (504)

to schedule one.
Buses. Fares are $1.25. Here is a

St Charles will take you to the St Charles Church.
St Charles is a beautiful Avenue. You will enjoy
that ride.
